Bye bye 2015! I've made so many changes in the past year and most of them have been internal. But before appearing on that single, he was already a well-liked figure in the jazz world, winning a Grammy in 2014 for his third album, Liquid Spirit.
Gregory Porter is no stranger to a festival - he appeared on the West Holts stage at Glastonbury this year.
However this is his first time at V Festival - and he's shared exclusively with Newsbeat, what it's like to be backstage.

Conor Maynard was telling an interviewer that he was a fan of Gregory - minutes later the pair bumped into each other.

If I told you some of the outlandish statements people have made about me doing the kinky hair thing, you would probably laugh, or get offended. My hair was damaged with a lot of heat styling, so I decided to go a year without using any heat and embrace my natural hair texture. So, for the rest of this month I will be posting daily photos of afro textured hair to celebrate something beautiful that isn't always represented in the media or even in the black community as much as other hair textures. Not to knock anyone's choice of style, it's all about doing what makes you happy. I want my niece to grow up with the belief that her kinky curly hair is gorgeous just the way it is. So here goes!
