Event Details

LDN City Varieties
"An Olde-Tyme, Nu-time Music Hall"

“Indubitably, magnificently, quintessentially” headlined by West End singer/entertainer Tim McArthur, The Westminster Society presents a traditional Olde-Tyme Music Hall style evening of music, humour and fun.
Packed with exciting Nu-Time ‘you saw them here first’ acts performing alongside established entertainers to be announced, this is an evening to not miss. LDN City Varieties has been assembled for your enjoyment; song, dance and comedy for your viewing and listening pleasure.
The very special line up of Olde-Tyme and Nu-Time acts, includes:

Sherry Davis, singer songwriter, as keen on playing the piano as she is on singing or writing.

Tim McArthur, actor, director and presenter, who is ‘wedded to the stage’ as a singer and solo performer, and his alter ego, the irrepressible …

Sister Mary McArthur from St Peter’s of the Sisters of the Third Removed in Soho, who graced the West End tapping down the streets of Soho resembling a religious version of Gene Kelly – but a nun!

Joe Meadows, young singer songwriter, singing well known standards and his own evocative ballads

Robin Dutt, the stylish and erudite Dandy of Home House, renowned for his literary knowledge and stunning presentations.

Graham Roos, producer, writer and performer, will present an act specially written for the event..

Musical turns on the bill include the 5-piece Concourse band guaranteed to have feet dancing to their rock beat.  And a special peek at acting legend Fenella Fielding’s special input.

Come and join us for what will be a very memorable evening,
full of fun and frivolity!

Who are we raising money for?
The Westminster Society has been transforming the lives of Londoners with learning disabilities for over 50 years. Our aim is to provide quality services and create new opportunities for people with learning disabilities of all ages and their families throughout London.
We run LDN Living, which is a ‘learning disability network’ for London, and provides a range of exciting group sessions, varied drop-in activities and one-to-one support.
This fundraising event is specifically raising funds for one of our LDN Living groups called ‘A Day In My Life’, which is a music based reminiscence group for people with learning disabilities over 50.
